DeepSRT PRO for Mac and DeepSRT Mobile for iPhone and iPad turn YouTube videos into live captions, AI summaries, and transcripts. Both apps are designed so your activity stays on your device and goes only to the services needed for the feature you request.
DeepSRT collects no data. Period.
The apps fetch public video and caption data directly from YouTube. When an AI feature is requested, the app sends the required text or media directly from your device to the AI provider that you configured, using your key. Nothing is routed through, cached on, or visible to a server operated by us. YouTube and the AI provider process those requests under their own terms and privacy policies.
The apps use the official YouTube embedded player. YouTube may receive the same basic playback information it receives from any embedded player. DeepSRT adds no tracking of its own.
API keys are stored in the operating system's Keychain on your device and are used only to call the provider you selected. DeepSRT never receives them. Removing a key in Settings deletes it from the Keychain.
Preferences, history, captions, translations, and session caches are stored locally inside the app's sandbox. They are not uploaded to DeepSRT.
